A little help with your next document.
Start with a document you trust. Use Docjig to review what changes and reuse what stays the same. Then collect signatures from everyone who needs to sign. The e-signature guide covers multi-party signing and current limits.
From PDF to reusable template
- Sign in and choose New template. Upload a PDF or Word file (.docx). Word files convert to PDF; review the fonts and page breaks. Use a PDF with selectable text, up to 20 MiB.
- Choose Find reusable fields, then review Review changes on the original PDF. Select a highlighted field to accept, reject, edit or delete it. Rejecting or deleting a field restores its original wording. Use Accept all remaining when the remaining proposals are right.
- Review inherited signatures, signing dates and envelope marks before removing them. Keep substantive contract dates and disclosure wording. Tables of contents stay unless you choose removal. For each image, the original position is kept automatically. Choose Remove image only when it should not be reused. The uploaded original stays untouched.
- Save your review, inspect PDF preview and approve the exact template version. Choose Use template to supply values for a new document. Reusable templates and created documents have separate library sections; document edits affect only that document.
Send a document for signature
Create a document from your approved template, filling ordinary fields or leaving them for recipients. For a one-off request, upload a PDF or Word file directly in Documents; no template is required. Open Prepare for signing to place signature, initials and signing-date fields on blank PDF regions. Move or resize fields, review recognized placements, or explicitly use Find fields with AI for suggestions.
Add signer names and email addresses and assign each field to one person. Color-coded assignments help you check ownership; each signer needs a signature or initials field. Choose Save fields and review, inspect the PDF and finalize the reviewed version. Choose Send for signature and confirm the document, recipients and fields. Signing dates are recorded automatically when recipients sign.
Recipients receive private email links and do not need Docjig accounts. Each reviews the PDF, completes their fields, and explicitly consents to electronic signing and adopts their signature or initials. Recipients can sign in any order or decline. Up to 20 people can sign one document per request. Sending freezes that document version; later edits do not change it.
Refresh status in Signatures to see each recipient’s progress and invitation status. Use Resend invitation for an unsigned recipient; it replaces the previous link. You can cancel a pending request. Unsigned requests expire after 30 days. Sequential routing, automatic reminders and bulk sending are not included. Provider acceptance of an email does not confirm inbox delivery.
When everyone finishes, download the completed PDF and JSON signing record from the signing status or private recipient link. The PDF includes a completion receipt with the signing times and participants. Completion emails include the PDF when it fits the attachment limit. Download and retain your copies before closing your account.
Check a completed copy
The completed PDF includes a Docjig cryptographic seal protecting its agreement, attachments and receipt together. The receipt records stated names, invitation email addresses, UTC timestamps and consent. Access through an emailed link is not independent identity verification.
Check your completed PDF against Docjig's stored copy. Your browser calculates its SHA-256 fingerprint locally; the PDF itself is not uploaded. Editing or re-saving it can change the fingerprint, even when it looks the same.
For independent offline checking, retain the original PDF, our public certificate and the downloadable verifier from that page. Our seal is self-signed: PDF readers may show an unknown issuer until you explicitly trust the certificate. It detects document changes under that trusted key; it does not independently verify human identity or signing time. Private signing links never appear on the receipt.
Try a fictional example
Download Demo lease A and Demo lease B to try importing, finding reusable fields and comparing samples. These two-page packets contain invented names and addresses, blank signatures and a sample attachment. They are product demonstrations, not legal forms.
Review the whole packet
Docjig keeps the original PDF layout, fixed wording and retained images, replacing reviewed text in place. New values must fit their available space; the preview reports values that need shortening. Scans and full-page images may contain baked-in signatures or stamps even when a text layer exists. Open image source pages to inspect these images. Keep the logos, attachments and signing marks you intend to reuse, and remove anything you do not want in the next document.
Edit in Google Docs or Word
Export a wording copy from the selected revision, open it in your editor, edit within existing paragraphs and return the DOCX to Docjig. Review the proposed changes before saving. Use Docjig's editor for field and wording changes. New edits do not replace an approved version or change documents already created from it.
Connect ChatGPT
See the ChatGPT connection guide and example prompts. New to templates? Start with the PDF-to-template walkthrough.
When Docjig is available in your ChatGPT plugin directory, connect it
and sign in to the same Docjig account. Before directory publication,
users with developer mode can add
https://docjig.com/mcp with OAuth. Ask to list your
templates, review an imported PDF or fill an approved template.
Approval happens in Docjig's authenticated review surface. A conversation saying “approved” does not approve a revision. If a download asks you to sign in, keep its exact link; it returns you to the saved revision.
Usage, deletion and account access
Free includes 3 saved templates and 3 new documents per UTC calendar month. Personal is $9 USD/month plus applicable tax for 100 of each. Open Plan & usage for counts, checkout and subscription management. Cancel renewal there to keep Personal through the paid period; saved documents remain accessible afterward. Subscription and refund terms explain the full policy. Storage and field-inference limits also apply. A template used by saved documents can be deleted after those dependent documents are removed.
To close your account, open your user menu, choose Manage account → Security → Delete account. Deletion is processed after the identity provider delivers the account event. Read the privacy notice for backup and external-copy limits.
